In the future, once the majority of the update celebrations have finished, we may decide to remove these map rotations and replace them with era-specific map rotations (similar to CS in BF2). The purpose of this is to allow players to choose whether they only want to play new maps. There will be two map rotations for each online game mode (except CS, CO-OP, HUNT, & EXTRACTION): a REGULAR map rotation (all of the BF2 maps + new maps) and a NEW map rotation (only new maps).
